Pure alginate often will resist attachment by cells. NOVATACHTM is used for improved cell functionality and viability by promoting the ability of cells to attach to the alginate polymer. A variety of peptide-coupled alginates are available to facilitate and promote interaction between cells and alginate-based scaffolds and matrices.
